STROUD — Down 33-30 entering the last quarter, Seminole’s girls outscored Meeker 18-6 for a 48-39 consolation victory at the 66 Conference Tournament Thursday.

Anna Andrews, who headed Seminole’s scoring with 17, knocked down three 3-point shots.

Hayden Harjo, who had Seminole’s other trey, finished with nine points. Kennedy Coker aided the cause with eight.

For Meeker, junior Lexi Lopez was the leading scorer with 13. Senior Bri Hable notched 12.

Seminole, 3-10, sank 10 of 17 free throws as Abby Carter went 4 of 6.

Meeker was 80 percent (8 of 10) from the line as Lopez went 4 of 4.

Seminole will seek a consolation crown when it takes on either Stroud or Holdenville at noon Saturday.

Meeker concluded its stay at the tournament.

“We missed a lot of layups but overall we played pretty good,” Seminole coach Charles Kemp said. “We can play better, but we are still fighting and trying to get better for districts.”
