Shawnee took second in the Suburban Conference Swim Meet Friday. Carl Albert won both the girls and boys meets.

Leticia Cervantes won two events at the conference meet. She won the 100-yard butterfly by 0.4 seconds but in the 200-yard individual medley, she won by almost 20 seconds.

Savannah Smith won the 100-yard breaststroke for Shawnee and she took second to teammate Aspen Chapline in the 200-yard freestyle.

Isabel Webb and Chapline took second and third in the 100-yard backstroke. Webb also took third in the 50-yard freestyle.

Breeanna Lee took second in the 500-yard freestyle and Madeline Motley took fourth.

The Wolves had strong performances as well.

Brodie Morris won the 200 and 500-yard freestyle races. Bryce Holter took third in the 200 and Jordan Comacho took fourth. Holter also took third in the 500.

Trent Ogden won the 50-yard freestyle and Troy Rakestraw took fourth. Josh Coons and Kiergan Gibson took second and third in the 100-yard butterfly. Ogden and Ryan Staal took second and third in the 100-yard backstroke.

Gibson also took second in the 100-yard breaststroke.

The next action for the swim team is the Regional Meet on Feb. 1.
