Oklahoma Baptist hosts the University of Arkansas at Monticello at the Noble Complex with tip off scheduled for 1 p.m., Saturday

As part of OBU Athletics' "Fanuary" campaign, Saturday has been designated "Take a Kid to the Game" with free admission for children 12 and under with an accompanying adult

Oklahoma Baptist is 8-9 overall and 4-7 GAC , tied with Arkansas-Monticello for seventh...Playing at home for the 13th time this season where they are 6-7.

Arkansas-Monticello is 5-11 overall and 4-7 GAC in a two-way tie for seventh with OBU…UAM has lost four of its last five…Only win in that stretch was a 84-54 victory at Ouachita on Jan. 19

UAM was 7-20 and 3-19 GAC last year finishing 12th…UAM has qualified for the GAC Tournament four times with the last being in 2017…UAM graduated its top four scorers.

Teams are meeting for the 10th time since 1982…UAM leads series 5-4…Teams are tied at 3-3 as NCAA Division II members.

In the last meeting, OBU won 84-68 at Monticello, Ark. on Jan. 27, 2018…McKenzie Cooper had 26 points, including a season-high eight three pointers.


OBU was a 67-47 winner against visiting Southern Arkansas on Thursday…Victoria Blankenship scored 20 points and led the Lady Bison with nine rebounds.

UAM lost 48-36 at Southern Nazarene on Thursday…The 84 points combined by the two teams were the lowest scoring output in any GAC game this year.


OBU ranks fourth in the GAC in scoring, averaging 71.9 points a game…The Lady Bison are 3-0 when they score 80 or more points.

Autumn Avina ranks fifth in the GAC in scoring (17.0 ppg.), first in assists (8.8) and first in steals (62)…Her 149 assists are behind only Merrimack's Karlee Alves (161) in NCAA Division II

Katy Custer enters with 986 career points…She needs only 14 points to become the school's 29th player to reach 1,000 career points.


UAM is third in the GAC in scoring defense (64.1 ppg)…Twice they have limited opponents to under 50 points – Southern Nazarene (48) and Southeastern Baptist (41)

MacKenzie Johnson is UAM top scorer (17.1 ppg) which ranks her fourth in the GAC…She scored a season-high 32 points in a 50-point win over Southeastern Baptist.

UAM's 63 three pointers is the fewest of any GAC team...They have 45 fewer than OBU's 108 in the same amount of games.
