Kaye Steele Harrod President of SHAWNEE Project Safe Women Auxiliary, announces the donations of 50 brand new blankets for the women and children of domestic violence victims by the

The Laureate Alpha Tau chapter of Beta Sigma Phi.

The members have adopted Project Safe victims by providing shelter showers for  bedrooms and kitchen as well as needed items for the mother and their children starting over in new homes.

The group meet once a month on the second Thursday at 11:30 a.m. at the Shawnee Country Club.

The annual “Honey Do Auction” is scheduled for Friday , May 3, 2019, at the Expo.

Members will be contacting business and individuals who would like to donate items to auctions or purchase a table.

The Honey Do Auction is the group's only fundraiser, which raises money for any items victims need at the time, from bus tickets to gas, clothing, tires, medicine, food, rents, emergency shelter needed items, household furniture and items to start life over.

The next meeting is Thursday, February,14, 11:30 a.m. at the Shawnee Country Club.
