JONES – Both Bethel teams had a chance at a third place trophy in the Jones Tournament but came up just a bit short in their efforts Saturday.

The boys fell to OKC Centennial 64-37 and the Lady Wildcats suffered a 39-29 defeat at the hands of Cushing.

The Wildcats fell behind 20-11 after the first quarter and were unable to find an answer for Centennial's offense.

Devein Acklin led Bethel with eight points.

The Lady Wildcats were down 20-18 at intermission. Unfortunately they came out and were outscored 10-4 in the third quarter.

Keagan Engle, Paige Hubler and Laney O'Rorke scored five points apiece.

Both Bethel squads return to action Jan. 20 when they host Community Christian.
