Several area wrestling teams participated in the Midwestern Conference Tournament at Firelake Arena Friday and Saturday.

Tecumseh's Tyler Bingham had the best individual performance - winning the 170-pound weight class.

McLoud took ninth as a team, the Savages took 12th, and Prague and Bethel came in 15th and 16th respectively.

Bingham improved to 20-4 on the season as he rolled through the 170-pound bracket. He won in the finals with a major decision (14-3) over Pauls Valley's Kevin Pineda.

Prague's Tanner Gregory was a state qualifier last year. He placed fourth in the conference tournament which includes wrestlers from larger classes, as well. Gregory lost to Harrah's Kyler Damron in the third-place match to settle for fourth. Gregory is 25-6 on the season.

Karson Cue at 113 pounds and Denzel Harris at 220 pounds each placed fourth for McLoud. Cue is now 23-10 this season and Harris is now 21-9.

Blake Hall at 132 pounds and Cobe Meyer at 145 pounds each took fifth for the Redskins. Hall beat Harrah's Michael Yarborough 9-2 to win the fifth-place match. Hall improved to 27-8 this season.

Meyer pinned Corbin Bowie from Tecumseh to take fifth. Meyer improved his individual record to 25-10. Bowie fell to 14-11 this season.

McLoud's Elijah Reece lost to Durant's Jared Price 10-8 to finish sixth. Reece is now 20-9.
