Seminole's Lady Chieftains got a lot of offense from two freshmen to help them win the consolation championship in the Route 66 Conference Tournament Saturday.

The Lady Chieftains beat Stroud 54-46, matching their highest offensive output of the year and claiming their third win in four games to improve to 4-10 for the season.

Anna Andrews scored 11 in the first quarter to give Seminole a big lead early. They led 23-12 after one and 27-19 at the half.

Hayden Harjo hit three 3-pointers in the third quarter to help Seminole build its lead to 47-32.

The Lady Chieftains kept the pressure on winning 54-46.

Andrews led Seminole with 16 points. Freshmen Kaylyn Cotner and Kennedy Coker added 14 and 13 respectively. Harjo scored 11 as the fourth Lady Chieftain in double figures.

Coach Charles Kemp said senior Abby Carter, normally one of the team's scoring leaders, didn't score Saturday but she did a great job leading the team and putting other people in position to score.

"It was our best team effort this year," Kemp said. "We are playing much better."
