OKLAHOMA CITY — Mount St. Marys misfired on a 2-point shot with less than :05 left and McLoud ‘s girls held on for a 55-54 victory Tuesday night.

Sophomore Cheyenne Banks spearheaded McLoud offensively with 20 points, 14 of which came in the second half.

Sophomore Lexie Boyer netted 17 points and Jessie Wooten came in with nine as McLoud evened its record at 10-10. Boyer posted two 3-point field goals. Callie Cardin and Lindy Nowakowski had one trey apiece.

Neither team fared well at the charity stripe as McLoud went 6 of 15 and St. Mary’s was 7 of 18.

McLoud will entertain Harrah Friday.
