Guests can expect "Love On the Bayou" as the theme for the annual Tecumseh Chamber of Commerce dinner and auction Feb. 11.
The dinner and auction will be at the Tecumseh City Hall with festivities starting at 5:30 p.m. as the Silent Auction begins. As the night progresses there will be a catered prime rib and chicken dinner at 6:30 p.m. The Live Auction will follow.
According to new Chamber member, Nancy Keith the team auction committee has done an amazing job at putting the event together.
"We always want to outdo ourselves from the year before. That's hard to do because every year they do such an amazing job," Keith said. "They're always successful and make sure everyone has a great time."
Typically the auction has around 125 silent items, 25 live items and 25 buy it now items. They're all donated and this year there are some interesting items including: Club Level Thunder Tickets- with Parking Pass, a Taylor Electric Acoustic Guitar, an original photograph on canvas done by Walt Rose, The Grand GetAway 3, a weekend at the Artesian, “A Pie a Month”, IPRA VIP tickets to all performances, tickets to see the Broadway production of “Waitress”, Drones, Electric Smoker plus many gift baskets and gift certificates.
"Love On the Bayou" is the this years theme and therefore the decorations will reflect a New Orleans style. Every year the event is the Monday before Valentine’s Day and the committee always tries to incorporate the world "love" in the theme.
