Many of Donny Palmer’s friends and family have said, “I never saw Donny without a smile.”

Those precious smiles will be seen only in photos and memories since his death on Jan. 18, 2019.

Donny was born to Jessie and Virgie Palmer on July 31, 1961. Like his brothers and sisters, Donny lived most of his life in McLoud, where he attended school, graduating in 1981.

Donny served his country in the United States Army National Guard, from which he retired.

He was preceded in his departure from this life by his parents and a sister, Linda Palmer Hickey.

Left to remember his smiles and celebrate his life are his wife, Dorothy of McLoud; son, Waylon Philip Palmer of Bennington; grandson, Christopher Williams of Wellston; brothers, Jeffrey Palmer of Virginia, Gary Palmer and his wife, Shirley of Oklahoma City; a sister, Tammy Palmer Covington and her husband David; a long list of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A memorial service is planned at 4 p.m. on Feb. 9, at McLoud Legion building on North Main Street in McLoud. Rev. Clyde Quick will officiate.
