Wrestling duals don't get much closer than Shawnee and Norman North Thursday night.

Despite forfeits at the 126-pound weight class and at 285 pounds, Shawnee held a 9-point lead with two matches left. The Timberwolves managed to get two pins to escape with a 36-33 win.

The Wolves had some success. Sam Anderson picked up a win with a 7-1 decision. Lane Williams at 192 pounds and Addison Smith at 220 pounds each pinned their opponents.

Brenner James in the 106-pound weight class and Angelo Reyes at 132 pounds also recorded pins and got six points for the Wolves.

Jose Cervantes at 138 pounds and Ivan Green at 145 pounds each won decisions to get three points apiece.
