ASHER — Dayne Bowerman and Will Joplin registered 12 points each as Roff scooted past Asher 55-37 Friday night.

Asher was outscored 25-15 in the second half.

Bowerman collected three 3-point field goals.

Trevor Martin topped Asher’s scoring with 16, with nine coming in the second half.

Teammate Mike McDonald tallied six of his nine points in the third quarter. Patch Hamilton offered seven points, all coming in the opening half.

Girls

Guard Alyssa Sanchez exploded for 31 points, igniting Roff to a 62-33 win over Asher.

Sanchez deposited eight 3-point field goals.

Bailey Larman was Asher’s high scorer with 10. Sarah Fleming and Kat Dixon added seven apiece.

Payton Owens of Roff posted two treys en route to 10 points.

Asher was 9 of 18 from the charity stripe for 50 percent. Roff was 10 of 16 for 62.5 percent.

Asher, 10-14, trailed 31-11 at halftime.

Both Asher teams will travel to Calvin Monday, then be idle Tuesday. Asher will launch district play Friday.
