Jack Wallace Marshall, born Nov. 7, 1940, in Shawnee, to Geneva Wallis Marshall and Charles Vivian Marshall, departed this earth on Jan. 30, 2019, after a courageous battle with ALS.
Jack Wallace Marshall, born Nov. 7, 1940, in Shawnee, to Geneva Wallis Marshall and Charles Vivian Marshall, departed this earth on Jan. 30, 2019, after a courageous battle with ALS. He graduated from Shawnee High School in 1958, attended OSU, and served in the 45th Division Army Reserves. Jack worked for Sylvania, General Electric/Seagate and the Oklahoma Blood Institute.
As a young man, Jack was active in FFA, baseball, and waterskiing. Although a man of few words, Jack left important life lessons for those who knew him. Never one to complain, his determination and positive attitude enabled him to enjoy each day’s simple pleasures as he fought his disease.
Survivors are his wife of 51 years, LaDonna; daughter, Melissa Savoy and her husband Ben; and son, Zack; as well as many dear family members and friends who prayed tirelessly for him. He was predeceased by his parents and sister, Sandra Frost.
Funeral arrangements by Mercer-Adams Funeral Home, 3929 N. Asbury, Bethany. Services at New Hope United Methodist Church, 11600 N. Council Rd, Oklahoma City at 10 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 4. Burial will follow in Shawnee at Resthaven Memorial Park at 3 p.m.
