OKLAHOMA CITY — Shawnee jumped out to a 33-16 halftime lead and was never threatened in rolling over Western Heights 69-35 Friday night.
Ten Wolves scored with four finishing in double figures — Isaiah Willis with 14, Jaylon Orange 11 and DeAndre Love and J’Briell Easley 10 apiece.
Willis was 6 of 8 from the field while Love was 5 of 8. Orange was 5 of 9.
Shawnee captured the rebounding war, 43-27, as AJ Howard led the way with 10, eight coming on the defensive end. Carson McKay pulled down seven rebounds.
Phillip Washington was the only Western Heights’ double-figure scorer with 12.
Shawnee also recorded 17 assists to just four for the Jets. Tyler Huebert had four assists.
The Wolves were just 2 of 18 from 3-point range for 16 percent but went 32 of 48 from 2-point range for 67 percent.
Western Heights also faltered from outside, hitting 4 of 27 treys for 15 percent. Gerardo Chairez had three of those treys for his nine points.
Shawnee will entertain Piedmont Tuesday.
