Bethel's Jordan Blair accomplished one of the goals she had set for herself.

This weekend, she won the Girls 108-pound State Championship at the Junior High All State Wrestling Tournament at the State Fairgrounds Arena.

Blair beat the wrestlers who placed second, third and fourth on her way to winning the championship.

She beat Eden Ramos from Morris by a major fall (12-1) in the first round. She pinned Emma Finch from Del City about one minute into the second period to advance to the finals.

In the championship match, Blair beat Khaleah Kirk from Guthrie. She pinned her in the second period to claim the title.

A female wrestler from Shawnee had success in the tournament as well.

Selah Citizen, a seventh grader from Shawnee Middle School, took fifth place in the 133-pound bracket.

Citizen lost in the semifinals to Anna Kilpatrick fro Chickasha. In the consolation bracket, she lost to Ciana Grate from Southmoore. But Citizen rebounded with a third period pin of Isabella Matanane of Norman to take fifth place.
