She was born April 15, 1929, to Frank and Cora Schaffer in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan.

Jeanne loved music and dedicated much of her life to either singing or playing the piano. As a high school student at Sacred Heart Academy in Michigan, she would walk two miles daily to play the organ for church mass.

She met the love of her life and husband of 60 years, Clarence Mullins, shortly after WWII. Together they raised their family in Shawnee. They were dedicated members of Emmanuel Episcopal Church where Jeanne sang in the choir.

Before she became a mother, Jeanne worked as an executive secretary for Leonard Pipeline.

She was a devoted mother in every way and became a full-time homemaker to her family. She will be remembered for her loving spirit, giving nature and the great meals she prepared nightly as well as for big family gatherings and reunions. She loved animals and the family home always included pets. Jeanne also spent many hours in service to others through her volunteerism with the Red Cross, Salvation Army and as a visitor with Shawnee Hospice. She also volunteered as a docent at the Mabee-Gerrer Museum of Art. In her spare time, she enjoyed playing bridge with friends and being a member of the local garden club.

Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clarence, and a granddaughter, Tera Mullins; her siblings, Teresa Schaffer, Frank Schaffer, Thomas Marshall, Maryanne Rosenberg and Sister Mary Lois Schaffer.

She is survived by her daughter, Jeffery Mullins, son, Gary Mullins and wife Robbie, daughter, Mary Boyd and husband Scott; grandsons, Chance Mullins and Jackson Boyd; sisters, Madonna Wing and Rita Doherty; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

The family will be available to greet friends at the church in Parish Hall beginning at 9:30 a.m.

Funeral Services will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 6, at Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Shawnee with burial to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
