After a tough night Friday night being swept by Okemah, Seminole bounced back Saturday night sweeping rival Wewoka.

The Chieftains held on for a 67-64 win and the Lady Chieftains won 63-52 behind a huge night by Anna Andrews.

The Lady Chieftains improved to 5-12 on the year and they have won four of their last seven games. Abby Carter had a three-pointer in the first quarter and Hayden Harjo added three more big shots from behind the arc to get Seminole off to a quick start from outside and a 16-10 lead after one period. Wewoka outscored Seminole 15-7 in the second to take a 25-23 lead at intermission. But the third quarter belonged to Anna Andrews and the Lady Chieftains. Andrews hit four three-pointers and scored 17 of Seminole's 23 points in the third period as the Lady Chieftains took a 46-34 lead after three. Andrews knocked down another three and scored seven of her 28 points in the fourth quarter. Freshman Kaylyn Cotner hit five out of six free throws and scored seven of her 11 points in the final frame. Seniors Carter and Harjo each scored 10 to join Andrews and Cotner in double figures. Kennedy Coker and Kaitly Matthews each scored two for Seminole.
