The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation has made two arrests in a child sex crimes case out of Maud.

On February 27, the Maud Chief of Police requested the OSBI investigate a report of sex crimes against a child.

The OSBI reports that a forensic interview of the 5-year-old revealed Joseph Martin Robledo, 49, and Sarah Michelle Morris, 28, allegedly performed various sex acts against the child. Morris is the biological mother of the child and Robledo is Morris’ boyfriend, the OSBI reported.

On March 1, 2019, law enforcement officers from the OSBI, Maud Police Department and the Chickasaw Nation Lighthorse Police Department executed a search warrant on the couple's house at 122 W. Harrison in Maud. Several items of evidence were collected which corroborated the child’s version of what happened to her, the OSBI said.

Robledo was taken into custody and booked into the Pottawatomie County Public Safety Center on complaints of showing obscene material to a minor child, child sexual abuse, forcible sodomy, rape by instrumentation and lewd or indecent acts to a child, jail records show. Formal charges have not been filed.

Agents were finally able to contact Morris on March 1, 2019 and the OSBI said she admitted to sexually abusing the child on multiple occasions. On March 5, 2019 Morris was arrested and booked into the Pottawatomie County Public Safety Center on complaints of child sexual abuse, forcible sodomy and lewd or indecent acts.

Both Robledo and Morris are being held on $250,000 bond.
