Michael Alvin Brown, 59, of Shawnee, passed away Sunday, March 3, 2019, in Shawnee.

He was born June 25, 1959, to Gilbert and Joann (Aday) Brown in Shawnee.

Michael grew up in Shawnee and attended Shawnee Public Schools.

He worked in the food service industry.

Michael enjoyed seek and find puzzles, Facebook and spending time with family. He was very social and a people person and never met a stranger; and he had a big heart.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert and Joann Brown; brother, Gilbert Brown Jr.; and sister, Robbie Collins; grandparents, Mary and Sydney Aday and Eva and Glenn Brown.

Survivors include three sisters, Wanda Brown of Macomb, Mary Jane and Michael Newcomb of Macomb, Jackie Brown of Bristow, and Johnny Brown of Ohio; nieces and nephews, Jason and Gayle Brown of Wisconsin, Virgil Brown of Moore, Stefanie Brown and Roger Wano of Shawnee, Emilee and Colt Harris of Shawnee, Jeremy Collins of Tecumseh, and Lisa and David Kauley of Tecumseh; great-nieces and great-nephews, Braxton Brown of Macomb, Myranda Brown of Wisconsin, Shyanne Wano of Macomb, Jaxsun Wano of Macomb, and Saoirse Kauley of Tecumseh; and numerous cousins and other extended family and friends.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday, March 7, and continue through service time. Service will be 2 p.m., Friday, March 8, at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Carols Woodard officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Seminole under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
