PRAGUE – The Prague Red Devils needed four innings to beat Davenport 10-0 Tuesday evening in their season opener.

The Red Devils scored three runs apiece in the first three frames. They added the final run in the four fourth inning on a Trip Davis single that scored Tyler Carpenter.

Prague's bats were hot Tuesday, as seven players recorded hits. Isaac Bloomer and Mason Cooper recorded multi-hit games with two hits apiece. Bloomer scored three runs and added three RBIs.

Starting pitcher Mason Cooper picked up a shutout, fanning 10 batters. He added two RBIs at the plate.

Jake Schultz was the third Prague player with two RBIs. He also drew two walks.

Branom Bailey, Cooper and Bloomer all stole two bases. Skyler Cline and Schultz stole one bag apiece.

Prague (1-0) will host Stratford Thursday at 4:30 p.m.
