The Chronic Palooza event, set for 4/20 at the State Fair Park of Oklahoma City, is to make a Guinness World Record attempt for the largest medical marijuana patient drive in the U.S.A. The event is a celebration of Oklahoma’s 788 and will recognize activists.
Along with the patient drive offering discount doctor visits, Chronic Palooza will also offer free entertainment, education, and industry networking. Over 20 Oklahoma bands, comedians, and chefs are participating in the event, offering a day of fun and education about the health benefits of cannabis and the economic benefits for the state. The event is a celebration of Oklahoma’s legalization of medical marijuana and a tribute to the 788 activists that helped pave the pathway for Oklahoma’s medical marijuana legalization.
“Without the 788 activists, we would not be where we are today as a state and as a booming new medical marijuana industry hub. Our event will have a special dedication to these activists who brought reform, relief, education, and awareness of the medical benefits of cannabis to Oklahomans,” said Carri Lawrence, founder of Chronic Palooza.
Ngaio Bealum, from Netflix’s “Cooking on High,” is going to be performing at the event. Oklahoma's own Chief Peace will also be driving in from Los Angeles to perform. Other noteworthy performers featured will be Felina and the Feels, New Tribe, MEMG, Maralen Pennyfeather, L Smooth, Wub Wub, Tig Blues, Mike Cloud, Be Low, Deezy, Ice Black, Pineapple Stro, Redzone, Down Periscope, Yak Let It Bang Ent, Last Sayso, Troy Allen Band, Analgestic, Gage Mainus, Lenny Vanhorn, Jenny Godwin, Justin Keithley, Niccolo Birkitt, and Angel Superstud. Wellness vendors, artists, dispensaries, clothing lines, and other health and lifestyle vendors will also be at the event.
“We are excited about the unique opportunity for Oklahomans to learn more about medical marijuana on April 20. Our event is all about the people and creating awareness, education, and support for Oklahoma’s new medical marijuana pioneer. We will recognize the activists of 788 with a special dedication to recognize their tireless efforts to empower Oklahomans,” said Carri Lawrence, founder of Chronic Palooza.
