RED OAK – Asher came out of a tough doubleheader with Drummond feeling good about themselves.

In the first game of the day, No. 5 Asher played third-ranked Red Oak tough, losing 3-2. In the second game they pulled off the upset, beating No. 2 Drummond 12-3 in five innings.

In the first game, Mike McDonald went 3 for 4 with 1 RBI.

Trevor Martin brought in the other Asher run in the loss.

Bryson Martin was the second Asher player to record a hit in the first game of the day.

Braydon Sanders was the losing pitcher, going five innings and striking out six.

Asher turned things around in the second game, winning in short order.

Patch Hamilton went 3 for 3 at the plate and belted one homer. Hamilton recorded 4 RBIs in the victory.

Mike McDonald, Tahlan Hamilton and Bryson Martin joined their teammate in the multi-hit club with two apiece.

Austin Custar and Jake Dobbs each added one hit apiece in game two.

Dobbs pitched all five innings of the second game and struck out three.

Asher (5-1) will face Red Oak (7-3) and Drummond (6-2) Tuesday at Eastern Oklahoma State College in Wilburton.
