SHAWNEE – The Wolves are back in the win column.

Shawnee's Kyle Curren singled to left, scoring Austin Wood and the Wolves secured a 3-2 walk-off victory over Guthrie in nine innings Monday.

Guthrie got on the board early with one run in the first inning.

Shawnee responded right back with two runs of their own. Creed Killgore brought Krew Taylor home for the Wolves' first run of the evening.

Wood scored on a balk by Guthrie's pitcher to make it 2-1 in favor of Shawnee. Wood led the Wolves with three hits.

Guthrie picked up one more run in the top of the third inning to tie the game.

Shawnee threatened in the fifth when J'Briell Easley reached on a fielder's choice. Easley stole second and third, but the Wolves were unable to bring him in.

Scout Cawvey and Easley finished with two hits apiece.

Austin Gonzales, Nick Bowlan and Taylor each added one hit in the winning effort.

Killgore started on the mound but did not factor into the decision.

Easley earned the win on the mound. He struck out six over five innings of work.

Shawnee (2-7) will travel to Sapulpa for a doubleheader Wednesday.
