The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports a Seminole man on a motorcycle was killed Thursday in an accident in Hughes County.

The crash occurred about 7:36 a.m. on SH 48, about six miles north of Holdenville.

Jackie Allen Jones, 50, was driving a 2014 Harley-Davidson motorcycle northbound on SH 48 when he failed to negotiate a curve, the OHP said, causing the motorcycle to run off the roadway and overturn multiple times.

Jones was not wearing a helmet and was pronounced dead at the scene by Hughes County EMS, the patrol reported.

Cause of the accident is under investigation.
