TISHOMINGO — Gage Boatman fashioned a five-inning one-hitter Friday as Tecumseh tamed Tishomingo 9-0 at the Murray County Shootout.

Boatman, who threw just 58 pitches, walked one batter and struck out seven.

Jayden Shafer spearheaded Tecumseh’s 10-hit attack with a 3-of-4 performance which included a double. He drove in two runs.

Kane Ainesworth added two singles.

Tecumseh earned the run-rule win by scoring five runs in the bottom of the fifth.

Tishomingo committed three errors, leading to three unearned runs.

Tecumseh launched its Shootout participation Thursday with victories over Plainview, 7-0, and Lindsay, 7-1.

Tristin Anthony sparkled on the mound against Plainview with a seven-inning four-hitter.

Anthony registered eight strikeouts and didn’t walk a batter.

Caleb Kelsey and Peyton Cooper recorded two hits apiece. Doubling for the Savages were Carson Fletcher, Kelsey and Shafer. Cooper and Shafer knocked in three runs each.

Tecumseh finished with nine hits.

Colby Trammell three-hit Lindsay, which scored its only run in the top of the first. Trammell whiffed eight and walked one in an 89-pitch outing.

The Savages accumulated 10 hits with Ainesworth’s double the only extra-base knock.

Cooper went 3 for 4. Boatman and Shafer each scored twice.

Tecumseh will complete Shootout play at 3 p.m. Saturday against Sulphur.

Tecumseh, 11-4, will play host to Harrah at 5 p.m. Monday.
