SSM Health St. Anthony Hospital - Shawnee is proud to feature the artwork of artist Beth Wilhelm on the Galley Wall in the hospital’s West Tower.
Wilhelm’s art medium is watercolors on paper and also watercolor batiks. Watercolor batiks are a contemporary form created by Wilhelm while she was teaching high school students the transition from oil to watercolors.
“Working with paper I am able to define much more closely to capture the expressions of loved pets. Where the Batiks do allow me to loosen up much more,” stated Wilhelm.
In addition to being featured in the St. Anthony Shawnee Hospital Gallery Wall, Wilhelm has paintings in various galleries in Virginia, Alabama, Florida, and Oklahoma. She is currently working on a location in Dallas, Texas. Wilhelm’s art can be viewed locally in OKC and Tulsa. The St. Anthony Shawnee Hospital Gallery Wall is curated by the Mabee-Gerrer Museum of Art.
