Linda Marie Costa, Sunshine, 75, of Shawnee, left her earthly body to live with her Lord and Savior on March 30, 2019, with her family by her side.

She was born to Herman and Vida Petchinsky on Oct. 2, 1944.

She is a graduate of Tecumseh High School and earned her early childhood development degree from Seminole Jr. State college.

She was a mother, a friend, a teacher and a free spirit. She loved the outdoors and would camp every chance she got.

She is survived by her daughter Dondi (Frank) Davis and son Robert B. Costa; her sisters Patty Eaton, Darlene Robison and Maria Waggoner; many nieces and nephews including Lani Eaton and Jeff Earhart of the home; two grandchildren, Shaun Demo and Wylan Patten.

Sunshine was predeceased by her parents and oldest son Michael Patten.

Her leaving us has left a huge void; she was loved my many. She never met a stranger and if you were here friend you were blessed with a loyal friend.

She was brave, loyal, stubborn, strong, beautiful and loved.

Please join her family and friends in rejoicing a life well lived on Saturday, April 6, at 1:30 p.m. at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Shawnee.
