WETUMKA — Meeker took two vastly different routes to victory Monday.

In the four-inning run-rule opener, Meeker clobbered Wetumka 15-2, outhitting the losers 19-7.

Icle Brewer, Halle Calvillo and Madison Gabeau homered for the Lady Bulldogs.

Darien Edmonds drilled two doubles. Also doubling were Kaycee Babek, Madison Hedge and Brewer.

Hedge and Brewer recorded three hits apiece. Gabeau drove in four runs.

In its second outing, Meeker trailed Chandler 11-7 after 4 ½ innings but rallied with four runs in the sixth and one in the bottom of the seventh — off a Madison Buoy hit — for a 12-11 victory.

Edmonds went 4 for 4 with two home runs, a double and seven runs batted in.

Calvillo was 3 for 4 with two doubles. Babek’s sixth-inning two-bagger tied the game at 11.

Morgan Fowble of Chandler chalked up four hits, including a home run and two doubles. Teammates Makalyn Herring and Jaelynn Robettson notched three hits apiece. Herring homered and doubled.

Chandler fell to 2-15.

Meeker, 10-5, is scheduled to play Holdenville at Stroud Thursday at 4 p.m.
