Parents of Shawnee High School students are encouraged to attend Parent University, Saturday April 6 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. to learn more about topics involving their children.
Various classes will be offered to educate parents on how to talk, help and prepare students as they go through high school and beyond.
Class options include: Blue Zone Cafe (healthy cooking), Teen Talk, Counselors Corner (reading a transcript, ACT prep, AP Courses, ect.), How to Pay for College (financial aid options), Financial Freedom (saving and investing), Internet Safety (apps and sites to be aware of) and Drug and Tobacco Awareness (signs and emerging trends).
The event is free and there will be refreshments and door prizes.
