OWASSO – Shawnee couldn’t keep pace with Owasso, losing 12-2 Monday evening.

Austin Wood drove in Nick Bowlan for the first run of the game with a double.

Owasso scored three runs in the bottom half of the first inning.

Shawnee inched closer in the second inning after Scout Cawvey singled, scoring Creed Killgore. Cawvey and Bowlan recorded multi-hit games for the Wolves.

Owasso’s David Sandin went on cruise control the rest of the way, shutting out Shawnee the rest of the way. Sandin struck out 10 over six innings of work.

Brandon Eropkin and Killgore added one hit apiece in the losing effort.

Shawnee’s pitching staff struggled throughout the contest. The Wolves gave up eight earned runs and walked 11.

Shawnee (6-9) will host Owasso Tuesday with first pitch scheduled for 7 p.m.
