LAWTON – Trevor Martin pitched a gem, fanning eight Elgin batters in Asher's 5-1 win Thursday afternoon in the Bo Bowman Tournament.

Elgin, the defending Class 4A champions, scattered four hits over seven innings.

Asher's Patch Hamilton recorded two extra-base hits in the game, scored twice and drove in two.

Jake Dobbs added Asher's third hit in the game-one win.

In other action Thursday, Asher beat Altus 5-3.

Braydon Sanders pitched a complete game in the second win of the afternoon. In the 79-pitch outing, Sanders fanned three Altus batters.

Chase Eckart led the Indians with two hits and two runs scored against Altus.

Asher (12-5) will play 5A Lawton Eisenhower Friday at 10 a.m. and follow up with Comanche at noon.
