BRIDGE CREEK — Brendan Carlile fashioned a route-going seven-hitter Friday, propelling Bethel to a 7-4 triumph over Bridge Creek.
Carlile struck out five and walked two while the Wildcats were errorless. Of his 92 pitches, 62 were strikes.
Bethel never trailed after scoring twice in the first inning, including a Terrell Dodson run-scoring single.
The Wildcats, 8-11, collected 12 hits as leadoff man Jaylon Gordon led the way at 3 of 3, all singles. Gunner Smith and Dodson managed two singles apiece. John Gordon had Bethel’s only extra-base hit, a 2-run triple.
Jaylon Gordon and Dodson both scored twice.
Cameron Egger, Smith and Carlile each stole a base.
Bethel will travel to Meeker Monday for a 5 p.m. game.
