The Shawnee Arts Council will be hosting a booth at the Redbud Festival this Saturday that will include a community art project for kids. The art project will be two “string art” boards that will be used at the K-12 student art show that will be held by the group on the evening of May 3, 2019 at the studio of LeAnne Henry Wright. Other activities for children will also be available at the booth.

A raffle to promote the group’s “Shawnee K-12 Arts” Facebook page will allow festival goers to enter for a chance to win gift certificates for Theopolis, The Owl Shoppe, DC Cake Appeal, and The Lunch Box. The Facebook page connects the Shawnee community with local K-12 art teacher needs.

The Redbud Festival will be held in downtown Shawnee on April 13, 2019 from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
