STROUD— Budgie Cameron, in a route-going pitching outing, didn’t allow an earned run as Meeker defeated McLoud 6-3 in the third-place game of the 66 Conference Tournament Saturday.
Cameron permitted eight hits, struck out four and walked one in seven innings.
McLoud led 3-0 when Meeker netted three runs in the bottom of the third. Jacob Martin had a RBI double in the frame. Dakota Gabbert drove in a run on a fielder’s choice and Jacob Sellers singled in a run.
Meeker then added two runs in the fourth and one run in the fifth.
Meeker leadoff hitter Kade Brewster went 3 for 4 with a double, two singles and one RBI.
Caleb Chapman added two singles for the Bulldogs.
Meeker prevailed despite committing three errors.
Meeker travels to Community Christian today for a 5 p.m. contest.
