LEXINGTON — Beth Denney swatted two home runs Monday, igniting Prague to a come-from-behind 16-6 run-rule win over Lexington.
Prague trailed 6-3 after five innings but poured in 13 runs in the top of the sixth. When Lexington failed to score in the bottom of the frame, the game was stopped.
Denney drove in five runs, including a bases-loaded home run, and scored twice as the Lady Red Devils piled up 20 hits.
Karsyn Coleman had a 2-run homer for Prague. Demi Manning was perfect at the plate at 4 for 4 — two doubles and two singles — while driving in three runs.
Josi Goodman and Adisyn Auld contributed three singles apiece.
Prague upped its record to 15-3 despite committing five errors to none for Lexington.
The Lady Red Devils, ranked seventh in Class 4A, were coming off a 12-8 triumph over Stroud in Friday’s 66 Conference championship game.
