McLoud Historical Society Museum and Heritage Center is hosting its
annual Sunday Dinner fundraiser May 5, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. For a
suggested donation, the dinner includes, entrée’, casseroles, sides,
soups, salads, desserts and drinks.
Attendees will be able to visit the museum displays and enjoy
fellowship with members of the community, family and friends.
“I hope you will bring your family and enjoy the food and fellowship
surrounded by local history,” museum President Glenda Kuhn said.
This is the 12th year for the fundraiser. Funds from this dinner are
used to pay annual insurance on the McLoud Museum, located at 421 W.
Broadway in McLoud.
“I would like everyone to know what a rich heritage we have in
McLoud,” Kuhn said. “We had the first female pharmacist in the State
of Oklahoma and the first female bank president in the State of
Oklahoma. Additionally, there are professionals, scholars and athletes
who accomplished great things in their lives – an inspiration to
current citizens, both young and old. Come to the dinner, enjoy a
meal, learn and celebrate.”
