Darold Michael Madden, 36, died April 14, 2019, at OU Medical after a tragic accident April 12. He passed peacefully with his fiance singing to him and his mother holding his hand.

Darold Michael Madden, 36, died April 14, 2019, at OU Medical after a tragic accident April 12. He passed peacefully with his fiance singing to him and his mother holding his hand.

Born Oct. 10, 1982, in Lansing, Michigan, to Darold F. and Frances Marie.

He grew up in Mesick, Michigan, before moving to Shawnee in 2000. At age 14 he started career in drywall and lawn maintenance. He later started his own business, Michael's Enterprises.

He met Susan in 2010 after hearing her sing. He helped with her parents through illness and they planned to marry soon. He loved family, friends and truly liked helping people. He loved music, playing pool, classic cars.

Months before, he was trying to fight afflictions he struggled with. He was saved and believed someday he'd see his Heavenly Father and his earthly father, Darold F.

He was also preceded in death by grandparents, Darold W and Pearl Madden, Stanley and Frances Williams, uncle Erwin Williams, in-laws Bill and Sue Herrin, Roger Ash, BFF's Nick, Nina and Douglas, great nieces and nephew.

He is survived by his mother, Frances Talton; fiance/wife Susan Herrin; stepson Daniel Rogers; sisters/brothers-in-law: Rose and Eric Stanfield, nephew Eric Jr., Darla Ash, Pearl and Gary Tuell, Nikki Prentiss, Aubrey Madden; Allan Secord, niece Bailey, Michael and Kevin Herrin-Ross, Darold Glenn and Kathy Madden, nieces, nephews, family and friends. Honorary mention: Charlie Stubbs and David Crouch.

Service will be at 2 p.m., April 20, at Aydelotte Baptist Church, 10201 N. Harrison, Shawnee, with Reverend Brent McCutcheon officiating.
