Matthew Giudice, senior graphic design major from Edmond, Oklahoma, is displaying his senior art show through April 25. The exhibit is located in OBU’s Art Building and is a culmination of Giudice’s work in art and design from his four years as a student at OBU.
Giudice credits OBU’s Division of Art and Design as the main reason he has been so successful over the past four years.
“My classes were great and the class sizes helped a lot with getting the help I needed,” he said. “The in-class critics were also helpful. It helps getting feedback from classmates who sometimes have different views on my work. My professors have also helped me learn proper techniques for whatever we may be doing in class.”
In the exhibit, Giudice chose to display paintings, vector graphics, graphic design, ceramics, screen prints and photography. Following his graduation in May, he plans to intern at his church in graphic design and pursue a career in photography.
Giudice has been taking photos since he was young and has mainly focused on it during his time at OBU. He draws inspiration from many photographers when preparing for his shoots.
“Caleb Castellon, Oscar Castillo and Bryan Blue are some photographers I follow for inspiration,” he said. “I look to them for inspiration when I am preparing for a photoshoot. I also study the way they compose photos and the use of graphic design with the pictures they take.”
