McLOUD – For the second straight year McLoud will be playing in the state tournament.

McLoud beat Heavener 35-29 to punch their ticket Thursday.

Heavener scored 17 runs in the fifth to take a momentary lead.

McLoud answered back with nine runs in the bottom of the fifth and eight in the sixth frame.

Gabby Sears went yard three times to lead McLoud in the home run department. Sears finished with

Callie Cardin and Kianne Wahpekeche hit two homers each.

Jessie Wooten contributed one homer.

McLoud will play in the 5A State Tournament May 1 at FireLake Ballfields.
