OKLAHOMA CITY – For just the second time in the last eight years, Tecumseh will miss the slow-pitch state tournament.
After defeating Norman North 13-1 in its first Class 6A regional test Thursday, Tecumseh was ousted with consecutive setbacks to Westmoore, 29-18 and 19-12.
Tecumseh concluded the season at 18-18.
The Lady Savages registered 14 hits against Norman North in the 3 ½ inning run-rule matchup.
Gabi Jordan blasted two home runs and drove in five runs. Shaelee Cranford went 3 for 3 with two doubles.
In the 29-18 loss to Westmoore, Taylor Frizzell, Ayzia Shirey and Harley Sturm homered. Shirey drove in six runs.
In its final game of the season, Jordan, Shirey and Sturm connected for home runs. Sturm went 4 for 5 as Tecumseh finished with 17 hits.
Westmoore recorded 10 home runs.
