William “Alonzo” Bristow passed away April 25, 2019.
William “Alonzo” Bristow, 75, of Shawnee, passed away April 25, 2019.
He was born July 13, 1943, in Shawnee to Frank and Bessie Bristow.
Alonzo had a tremendous love for God, church and family. When he was able he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Music was also a passion of Alonzo’s and he loved playing his banjo or just listening to good gospel music. Alonzo was a long time member of the South Rock Creek Independent Church of God.
He was a retired veteran, after serving 20 years in the United States Army. Alonzo help build and establish 3-B’s Bluegrass and Gospel Music Barn.
Those left to cherish his memory are his brother, Paul Bristow and wife, Clair; sister, Eunice Bush; and many many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his son, Terry Dean Bristow, and his parents.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m., Monday, April 29, and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday, April 30, at Resthaven Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, May 1, at Resthaven Funeral Home. A burial will follow at Tecumseh Cemetery.
