Daniel Richard Makaseah, 71, of Shawnee, passed away May 15, 2019.

He was born July 29, 1947, in Concho, Oklahoma, to Richard Leon and Betty Jean (Wahpekeche) Makaseah.

Daniel was a kind man and loving companion, father, brother, and friend. He played baseball for Dale High School and was a 1966 graduate of Dale. He enjoyed watching basketball whenever a game was on and watching his grandkids play sports. He loved to feed his squirrels and birds.

Those left to cherish his memory are his long-time companion and soulmate, Paullet Notturno; daughters: Anita Bryce and Danielle Voyles; son, Rickey Hale; granddaughters: Emily Bryce, Shayla Bryce, Brooklyn Christian and Elaina Hale; grandson, Devin Voyles; great granddaughters: Peyton Christian and Adyson Clark; siblings: Teri Makaseah, Karen Makaseah, Yvonne Lomaintewa and Rickey Pennock of Shawnee and Dennis Makaseah and Joyce Fry of McLoud; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Douglas Richard Makaseah; brothers: Wendell and Calvin Makaseah; sister, Loretta Makaseah; and nephews: Lance Wellington Makaseah and John E. Lomaintewa Jr.

A visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m., Friday, May 17, at Resthaven Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, May 18, at Resthaven Funeral Home. Burial to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
