After four years of exams and essays Shawnee High School seniors will walk across the stage at Firelake Arena Monday May 20 at 7 p.m. and receive their diplomas.
According to SHS Counselor, Courtney Lewellen, 275 seniors will be graduating and the school expects around 3,500 people in attendance.
There will be three student speakers including Senior Class President: Caylin Chlouber, National Honor Society President: Caylin Chlouber and Student Council President: gjnhjumop;Carly Fisher.
The SHS band and choir will also perform.
In addition to Shawnee, Tecumseh High School seniors will also be graduating next week on Tuesday May 21 at 7 p.m. at Firelake Arena.
According to Superintendent Tom Wilsie, there will be two students speakers and they include valedictorian: Sydney McClaskey and salutatorian: Rachel Goethe.
Wilsie said 131 students are graduating and the school expects 2,200 to 2,300 people in attendance.
The high school's band and choir will also perform.
Before Shawnee and Tecumseh seniors take the stage, however, Bethel High School seniors will graduate Saturday May 18 10 a.m. at Firelake Arena.
The student speakers will be valedictorians: Eric Messick and Gracie O'Rorke.
There will be 107 students graduating and the high school's band and choir will perform at the ceremony.
