The Avedis Foundation has announced that broadcast journalist Jenna Wolfe, host of Fox Sports 1’s First Thing First, will serve as the keynote speaker for an upcoming installment of the Avedis Speaker Series.

Wolfe is scheduled to speak at a luncheon at the Heart of Oklahoma Exposition Center in Shawnee on Wednesday, May 29, in conjunction with the foundation’s 2019 Health Week, which takes place from May 24-31 in Shawnee.

Wolfe is a fitness advocate and author of “Thinner in 30: Small Changes That Add Up to Big Weight Loss in Just 30 Days.”

Her keynote presentation will address the struggle of staying motivated to maintain a healthy work-life balance amid the competing demands of everyday life.

As a longtime correspondent for NBC’s Today, and as an anchor on Weekend Today, Wolfe served as the show’s first lifestyle and fitness correspondent.

Following her tenure with Today, Wolfe has continued to build her brand around personal fitness. In addition to hosting FS1’s First Things First, Wolfe hosts her own YouTube channel devoted to personal well-being, Jenna Wolfe Fitness.

Wolfe’s keynote presentation is one of several organized activities and events scheduled as part of Avedis Foundation’s 2019 Health Week, a collaboration between the foundation and several community partners. Health Week will feature family-friendly events throughout Shawnee for all age groups. All activities are open to the public, and most events are free of charge. A full schedule of events can be found at www.avedisfoundation.org/contact/health-week.

Admission to the Avedis Speaker Series luncheon featuring Jenna Wolfe is free, but participants must RSVP before Monday, May 20 at (405) 273-4055 or online at www.surveymonkey.com/r/ZZ2Z2WM. The luncheon will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. on May 29.
