The annual awards luncheon for the Frontier Country Marketing Association was held Friday, June 14 at the Grand Hotel & Casino. Frontier Country Marketing Association is a non-profit, membership-based marketing association that promotes tourism in the 12 central counties of Oklahoma. At the annual luncheon, the Mabee-Gerrer Museum of Art was presented with two awards.

The Mabee-Gerrer Museum of Art was presented with the award for Outstanding Attraction by the Frontier Country Marketing Association. The Museum also received honorable mention in the category of Outstanding Children’s Attraction or Event for its annual art festival Arts Trek.

“These awards are a testament to the hard work of the staff, board of trustees and the volunteers,” said Dane Pollei, Director & Chief Curator of the Museum. “Winning the Oklahoma Nonprofit Excellence Award in April and now winning as the Outstanding Attraction in Central Oklahoma as well as recognition for Arts Trek really makes our 100th year special,” he added.
