In the wake of Cal head coach Lindsay Gottlieb taking a job with the Cleveland Cavaliers, Lauren Fields made a decision to stay in state for her collegiate career.

On Tuesday night, Fields announced she would play her freshman year at Oklahoma State University. She previously committed to University of California-Berkley.

Fields was instrumental in the Lady Wolves' state tournament berth last season. On the year Fields averaged 15.4 points per game and earned the 2019 Faith 7 Bowl's Most Valuable Player. In the Faith 7 victory over Texas, won Oklahoma team MVP with 17 points and 11 rebounds.
