Lester Leon Krueger, 77, of Shawnee, passed from this life on Friday, July 5, 2019.

Leon was born Sept. 16, 1942 in Shawnee to Earvin and Emma Jones Krueger.

He attended Prairie Valley School and resided in Tecumseh and Shawnee, where he lived a very fulfilling life.

Leon was married to Wanda Mae Landrum and they had two children, Lonnie and Michael Krueger and four grandchildren; Chance, Calib, Noah Krueger and Stephanie McNeil.

He worked for Harps Green Valley Farms, Shawnee School System, and for the City of Shawnee before retiring.

He was a member of Sharon Baptist church.

Leon loved his extended family at the senior center and volunteering his time and social skills there. You never met anyone he didn’t know. He was well known for his sense of humor and distinctive laugh.

Leon is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one sister.

He is survived by his sons, grandchildren, brothers and sisters: Mark Krueger, Carolyn Middleton, Dlorah Krueger and Freddie White. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.

Memorial services will be Thursday, July 11, at 2 p.m. at Sharon Baptist Church in Shawnee.
