SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist will host its first night game as Henderson State comes to Bison Hill for the team's home opener on Sept. 7. Game time has been set for 6 p.m. inside Crain Family Stadium at the Hurt Complex.

Game time for OBU's matchup against East Central on Sept. 28 has also been moved to 6 p.m.

"We're excited to see this project come to fruition," said OBU director of athletics Robert Davenport. "Being able to schedule games in the evening, especially in September, will enhance the game day environment for fans, as well as our student-athletes."

Funding for the lights is made possible by private donations to OBU Athletics as part of a capital campaign aimed at improvements to the Eddie Hurt Jr. Memorial Track Complex. Though progress is underway in order to be completed by Sept. 7, fundraising is still ongoing. Those interested in supporting the project are encouraged to contact the Stampede at 405.585.5300.

Following the team's most successful season since joining the Great American Conference and NCAA Division II, the Bison will host five home games in 2019. Season tickets are on sale now with both general admission and reserved options available. Visit for pricing information.
