Thomas “Tommy” Hinesley, 77, of Macomb, passed away Monday, July 29, 2019, at Cornerstone Hospital in Shawnee.
Thomas (Tommy) Arlan Hinesley was born on March 8, 1942, in Shawnee to Arlan Ardith and Marcella Delores Hinesley and departed this life July 29, 2019, in Tecumseh.
Tommy married Barbara Garretson in June 1971.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Pat Hinesley, sons-in-law Bryan Roark and Richard Wolf, and grandson Colton Roark.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Barbara Hinesley, daughters Christina Roark, Roxana Wolf, and Shannon (Gil) Hensley, sons Timothy Birkicht, Randy (Andrea) Birkicht, and Kevin Birkicht. He also leaves behind his brothers Dick (Jan) Hinesley and Virgil (Carolyn) Hinesley, sisters Donna (Don) Doud, and Debbie Belyeu, 13 grandkids, 12 great-grandkids, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Tommy retired from Tinker Air Force Base where he was a supervisor in the hydraulics department. He loved outdoors, classic cars and trucks, shooting pool, and his guns. Tommy was a big time Oklahoma Sooners fan as well as being a fan for Ada Cougars, Nebraska, and East Central University when his grandsons played. Tommy loved to read and had collected over a thousand books. Tommy was full of life and laughter.
A private service for close friends and family is being held Saturday, Aug. 3, 2019.
