The Oklahoma Highway Patrol, on Friday, reported a juvenile riding a skateboard in the northbound lane of SH 102 died late Wednesday night after being struck by a vehicle.

That accident occurred about 11:46 p.m. on SH 102 and Robin Hood Lane, which is about 5 miles north of McLoud.

The OHP reports a 2008 GMC Sierra driven by Dustin Holmes, 30, Harrah, was northbound on SH 102 while a pedestrian, a juvenile, was skateboarding in the northbound lane.

As the pickup went over a hill crest and began traveling downhill, the OHP report shows the pickup struck the pedestrian, who died at the scene from massive head injuries.

The juvenile pedestrian's name was not released by the patrol.

Holmes and his passenger, Sabrina Huggins, 35, Newalla, were not injured, troopers reported.

Cause of the collision was listed a pedestrian in roadway. The crash was investigated by Trooper Snyder of the Pottawatomie/Lincoln County Detachment of Troop A, with assistance from Lt. Frederickson of Troop A, the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office, REACT EMS and Southwest Lincoln Fire Department.
